Who are the courses meant for?

Czech language courses are primarily meant for third-country nationals with a legal stay in the territory of the Czech Republic for a period exceeding 90 days.

None of the courses are meant for applicants for international protection.

What are the attendance conditions?

  • Before starting the course, you’ll pay a 2000 CZK motivational deposit. If your attendance is 70% or higher, we’ll return your deposit in full.
  • You cannot repeatedly sign up for a course of the same level.
  • You cannot apply for a residence permit for the purpose “studies” based on your registration, acceptance, and participation in this Czech language course.
  • These courses are not accredited by the Labour department as a Czech language retraining program.

What courses for adults do we offer?

Standard courses for non-Slavic speakers

  • Levels A1 and A2
  • 75 teaching hours

Standard courses for Slavic speakers

  • Levels A1 and A2
  • 100 teaching hours

Preparatory course for permanent residence exam

  • Level A2
  • 50 teaching hours

Conversation course

  • Level A2/B1
  • 50 teaching hours

E-learning course

  • Level A1.1
  • We open these courses in July or August
  • We have beginner and pre-intermediate courses
  • Intensive two-week format (Monday to Friday)
  • The courses are free
  • The capacity of summer courses is now full. Next courses will open in summer 2024

What courses do we offer and who are they meant for?

  • We offer an intensive summer course, which is intended only for children under the age of 15 from countries outside of the EU with a legal stay in the territory of the Czech Republic for a period exceeding 90 days.

What are the attendance conditions?

  • Register using the green button found below.
  • The courses are preceded by a meeting to assess the child’s language level. Participation is mandatory.
  • Courses for children are free of charge.

Where do the courses take place?

The courses take place in detached classrooms, not in the ICP head office.

Intensive summer Czech language course for children

  • Children are divided into groups according to their age (6-9 years old, 9-12 years old, or 12-15 years old)
  • We always open one course for only one age group (you can find information about the age group of the currently being opened course in the registration form)
  • 50 teaching hours
  • morning/afternoon classes, 5 times a week, each session takes 3 hours
  • courses always take place in July or August
